Frances E. (Beighley) Piendl, 83, formerly of Buffalo Township, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, at Holy Family Hospice, Parma, Ohio. She was born Jan. 17, 1932, in New Kensington, daughter of the late Raymond E. and Margaret (Myers) Beighley. Frances lived most of her life in Buffalo Township, and has resided in Ohio since 2008. She was a homemaker and former member of Pleasant Unity United Presbyterian Church and Evangelical Heights Assembly of God Church. A 1950 graduate of Plum High School, she enjoyed gardening, crafts, art work and animals. She was very devoted to her pets. Frances especially enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Barry R. (Leigh Ann) Piendl, of Seven Hills, Ohio, Bruce A. (Tamara M.) Piendl, of Eighty Four, and Karen (Jeffrey) Bittner, of Edgewater Park, N.J.; and her grandchildren, Elise M. and Corrine R. Bittner, of Edgewater Park, N.J., and Natalie E. Piendl, of Seven Hills, Ohio. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Richard C. Piendl, in 2004; and her siblings, William Beighley and Dolores Skinner.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 5 p.m. Sunday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., 347 E. Tenth Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526, with the Rev. Trent A. Hancock, officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
