Her parents were:
Joseph Bodmer & Margaret Bach. They married Feb 13, 1853, in Miami County, Ohio, USA.
Joseph was born in Switzerland (earliest US census I found with them on was 1870 Lincoln Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota, USA where Joseph Bodmer is listed as age 60 and born in Switzerland & wife Margaret is age 35 and born in Ohio). I have not found a Find-a-Grave memorial for him or any records of his death--I am assuming he died in Minnesota as he appears on the 1870 MN census for Blue Earth County and on the 1880 MN census for Brown County his wife is listed as a widow, and the eldest son is doing the farming. Then by 1885 Census, they have up rooted and moved to Pembina County, Dakota Territory (eventually becomes Pembina County, North Dakota when becomes a US state).
