Maria Alicia Teran went to be with our Lord on January 12, 2016.

She was born on September 2, 1927, in Douglas, Arizona, and was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and mother-in-law.

She is preceded in death by her baby daughter, Celina; her husband, Gustavo; her parents, Jesus and Maria; and her brothers, Armando and Laureano.

She is survived by her sisters, Concepcion, Lydia, and Leticia; brothers, Roberto and Raul Durazo; children, Jose, Gustavo (Leticia Valdez), Luis (Ana Gooch), Maria Alicia (David Varela), Enrique (Cathy Bond), Rene (Dianne Zaroni), Mario (Stephanie Hoffmeister), Juan (Lisa Velazquez), and Lauro (Lupita Grijalva); 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Douglas, Arizona. A rosary will be prayed at 11:30 a.m., and a funeral Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
