Born in Easley, he was the son of the late Charles Wesley Garrett, Sr. and Etta Lilian George Garrett.
Mr. Garrett served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was a Master Mason and State Constable for 35 years. He worked 45 years for the C. H. Patrick family. He was also a ham radio operator for more than 50 years.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters, Shirley Mulholland and husband, Wayne, of Beaufort, and Pamela Gambrell and husband, Michael, of Easley; grandson, Christopher Gambrell; and step grandson, Chris Mulholland. He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters; two half sisters; and a half brother.
