Born June 7, 1932, to Cornelius (Con) Taylor and Mary Margaret (May) O'Shea, in Lakeview, Ore., she died on Jan. 7, 2016, in LaPine, Ore.

Seventh of eight children in the Taylor Family. Susanne grew up in the Irish Community of Lakeview and St. Patrick's Parish, and summer spent in Plush.

Graduated Lakeview High School in 1952. She went to college at Marylhurst in Portland, Ore., where she received her teaching credentials. She taught in Hopland, Calif., and Canyonville, Ore.

Married Gordon Emery, her high school sweetheart, in 1961. They had two daughters, Karmen and Carrie. They lived back and forth between Silver Lake and Lakeview. The union was later dissolved.

Suzanne ran a preschool in her home when her girls were in elementary school.

She married Donald Butler in October 1990.

Susanne was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Mary Fitzgerald, Barry Taylor, Teresa Fetsch, Sharon Taylor and Nora Taylor; and husband, Donald Butler.

She is survived by siblings of Eugene, Ore. and Lakeview. Also sister-in-law, of Cottage Grove; daughters and sons-in law of Silver Lake; and four grandchildren.
