Dorothy Mae Anderson, age 96, formerly of Sedalia, died Tuesday, January 12, 2016.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 15, at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Broadway Presbyterian Women's Association, or to the donor's choice.

Surviving are a daughter, Linda Cowherd and husband Larry, of Cassville, MO; a son, Larry Anderson and wife Sherry, of Prosper, TX. Also surviving are one granddaughter, Kristina Anderson of Prosper, TX, and one grandson, Shane Cowherd of Joplin, MO. She had six great-grandchildren: Bailey Cowherd, Brooke Cowherd, Austin Cowherd, Dusty Cowherd, all of Cassville, Montana Cress of Joplin, MO, and Hunter Cress of Pittsburg, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Oscar and Julia Edith Chedell Decker; her husband, Lilburn Lee Anderson; a brother, Oscar Lemuel Decker; and two sisters, Edna Ruth Mein and Edith Bell Crafton.
