Hi, I believe his wife's maiden name was Leatherman. I saw it in a copy of his will, which I got to read about 25 years ago. I am going from memory, and cannot prove this right now, but it is a pretty educated guess. Just to see where it leads, I might search some surrounding areas for the surname of Leatherman. Since it is less common than the surname of Wilson, it might open up some marriage records, etc.
I'm going to go look at your two sites you show on your FindaGrave page. I have ancestors in the areas you mention and I bet it might be very interesting. Thank-you for your work.
