Clifford Wayne "Pete" Jobe Sr., 88, of Slickville, passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, at Redstone Highlands in Greensburg. He was born May 22, 1927, in Delmont, son of the late William M. and Josephine (Blose) Jobe. In addition to his parents, Pete was predeceased by his beloved wife, Caroline (Runco) Jobe; a son, Kerry Eugene Jobe; grandson, Clifford W. Jobe III; and his eight brothers and sisters. Pete is survived by his loving family, including two sons, Clifford Jobe Jr. and his wife, Rebecca, of Greensburg (Salem Township), and Kip Edward Jobe and his wife, Leslie, of Monroeville; a daughter, Kimberly J. Long and her husband, Raymond, of Greensburg (Salem Township); a daughter-in-law, Marlene Mattei Jobe, of Salem Township; grandchildren, Richelle Gibson (Todd), of Mars, Raymond Long Jr., of Salem Township, Kaden Lee Jobe, of Monroeville, Lexi K. Jobe, of Monroeville, and Kerry Eugene Jobe Jr. (fiancee, Stacy Wargo), of Salem Township; step-grandchildren, Mickey Klug, Carrie Ann Klug and Ryan Jobe-Klug (Nicole Turner); a great-granddaughter, Madeline Jane Gibson; a step-great-grandson, Jonathon Jobe Klug; sisters-in-law, Mary Biesuz, of Clinton, Pa., Jennie Lou Monta, of Salem Township, and Rosanna Shepherd, of Salem Township; also nieces and nephews. After serving in the Navy during World War II, Pete was honorably discharged July 27, 1946. He worked for the Equitable Life Assurance Company in Gateway Center, Pittsburgh, and retired in 1993, after 40 years as superintendant of Maintenance and Construction. He was a lifelong member of the Delmont Presbyterian Church and served on the board of trustees.

Visitation for the Jobe family will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Delmont Presbyterian Church, 101 Church St., Delmont, PA 15626, with Pastor Caroline A. Vickery presiding, followed by military honors presented by VFW Post 33 of Greensburg. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church. Interment services will follow privately for the family at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont.
