RANGER -- George Allen Beighley, 54, of Ranger died Saturday, September 9, 2006 in Eastland.

Funeral services will be Monday Sept. 11, 2006, 4 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Ranger. Visitation Sunday 3 to 5 p.m. Rev. Richard Waters and Rev. Ronnie Guess Ministers. Burial in Merriman Cemetery.

George was born October 4, 1951 in Fort Worth to George E. Beighley and Hazel (Faircloth) Beighley. He was a Class of 1970 Ranger High School Graduate, and earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Ranger College. He married Brenda Gasch on July 5, 1974 in Poteet Texas. He and his father operated Beighley Gulf Service Station from 1965 until 1988 in Ranger. He had been employed by Ranger College as Director of Maintenance for 22 years. He was involved in sports, coaching Little League, Pony league then cooking hamburgers for the booster club. He was a 17 year member of the Ranger Volunteer Fire Department and was instrumental in building the current Fire Station. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Ranger and enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, Golfing, wood carving and keeping up with all sports.

He is survived by his wife Brenda of Ranger, son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Amanda Beighley of Cleveland Tx; A daughter Carol Ann Beighley of Ranger; His mother Hazel Beighley of Ranger; and a Granddaughter, Kylie Beighley of Ranger.

He was preceded in death by: his father George E. Beighley in 1983. Memorials may be made to the Ranger College Scholarship Fund.
