Roy Conley, 76, of Columbia City, died at 12:25 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Miller’s at Oak Pointe where he had been a resident since September 2015.

He was born May 5, 1939 in Gunlock, Kentucky a son of George and Peggy (Hale) Conley. He completed his education in Swampton, Kentucky then moving to Ohio. In 1959 he moved to the Larwill.

On May 14, 1979 he was united in marriage to Sharon S. (Baxter) Grable. They made their home in Pierceton, Whitley and Kosciusko Counties until moving to Columbia City in 1996.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Sharon; two sons, George J. Conley of Warsaw and Steven S. (Jennifer) Grable of Tri Lakes; two step sons, Lee W. (Carol) Grable of Fort Wayne and Timothy E. (MiYong) Grable of Columbia City; a step daughter, June James of Auburn; two grandsons; 13 step grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren; and a sister, Minervia Jean Vanderpool Shell of Kentucky.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step daughter, Jill Denney; a step granddaughter; six brothers and four sisters, Luther Conley, Add Conley, Lawrence Conley, Loy Conley, Arthur Conley, Arvil Conley, Clestia Bailey, Clara Mullins, Myrtle Conley and Nora Howard.
