Walthill, Neb- Milton Anderson, 79, of Walthill died Thursday, June 26, 2006, at his residence.
Services will be 10 am today at Trinity Lutheran Church in Walthill, with the Rev Ricky Jacob officiating. Burial will be in Bancroft Cemetery, with military
rites conducted by American Legion Lester E Stewart Post 89 of Walthill.
Arrangements are being handled by Munderloh Funeral Home in Walthill.
Milton was born Jan 12, 1924, in Bancroft, Neb, to Edwin and Marie (Hermelbracht) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rosalie, Neb. He graduated from Bancroft High School and served as a
radio man in the US Navy during World War II.
He married Barbara Ann Garwood on Dec 28, 1946, in Rosalie. After their marriage, the couple lived in Bancroft for a short while. They moved to a farm
near Walthill in 1950. He was a farmer all of his life. He enjoyed playing cards, his four-wheeler, gardening and his grandchildren.
Milton is survived by two daughters, Carol Brinkman and her husband, Ron of Emerson, Neb, and Connie Eckles and her husband, Bill of Omaha, Neb; a son, Arne Anderson and his wife, Ruth of Burwell, Neb; grandchildren, Brenda Eckles of London, England, Becky Eckles of Colorado Springs, Colo, Brad Brinkman and his wife, Stephanie of Emerson, Ronda Habrock and her husband, Barry of Hickman,
Neb, and Gage Anderson and Joradn Anderson of Burwell, Neb; brothers, Odin Anderson of Rosalie, Rex Anderson of Bancroft, Ronnie Anderson of Tucson, Ariz, and Paul Anderson of Blair, Neb; sisters, Luella Peterson and Frances Anderson of Bancroft, Minnie Dirkschneider of Omaha, and Helen Johnson of Blair as well as seven great-grandchildren.
Milton was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; his parents; two brothers and a sister.
