Some of the sites included Soonerville, Pawnee Earth Lodges, the Shawnee Cattle Trail, Cowboy Flats, C.R. Anthony's original store in Cushing, Roy J. Turner's birthplace, the Jim Thorpe Highway and many more. He chaired the Okla.

Athletic Hall of Fame. Responsible for legislation providing for the striking of Jim Thorpe medals by the US Mint, also for publication of "Cimarron Valley 1973 Journal". His discovery of the Comanchero Dugouts, south of Quitaque TX., led to excavations that caused historians to change their theories as to how and where the Comancheros lived over the years, as they dealt with the Indians. He is survived by 2 sons, Dale of Tempe AZ. and Skip of Owasso; a daughter, Rebel June Moore of Mannford; 6 grandchildren and Jo Tindall of OKC.
