David Solomon Biggs First wife - Melissa "Millia" Trinn Biggs married October 26, 1866 in Union Township, LaClede County, Missouri. Their children: James Robert Biggs, Joseph H. Biggs, Elbert D. Biggs, David R. Biggs and Daughter Biggs.

His Third Wife - Minerva Ella Keen Biggs married October 20, 1889 in LaClede County, Missouri. Their children: Jessie D. Biggs, Ada Biggs and Charles A. Biggs.

Biggs, age 18, a farmer, born in Arkansas, enlisted in the 8th Missouri Volunteer Cavalry, USA as a Pvt. in Company "H", on August 9, 1862 in Lebanon, Missouri. September 1862 On Duty, Working on fortifications. October 1862 On Duty as Picket Guard. May 1863 On Duty as Regimental Teamster. February 27, 1864 Absent, On Detatched Service/Scout Duty. May 7/8, 1864 Arrested, in confinement on Charges for Theft and Disobedience of orders and sentenced by Court Martial to serve One month in Military Prison at Little Rock, Arkansas Federal Prison and to forfeit three months pay. Sentence executed and was returned to Duty August 23, 164. {Two Pages of Court Martial Records in File.} Augut 27, 1864 Absent, On Scout Duty. August 30, 1864. October 30, 1864 Absent, On Scout Duty. February 27, 1864 Absent, On Detached Service. July 20, 1865, Mustered Out at Little Rock, Arkansas. * David S. Biggs also served in Phelp's Regiment of Missouri Infantry for -6- Months before joining the 8th Missouri Volunteer Cavalry, USA. - Ralph Biggs
