A native of Prentiss county, Mr. Downs was born January 4, 1950. He was employed in the construction industry for a number of years before retiring for health reasons. Mr. Downs was a Christian and had been a resident of Tippah County for the past 33 years. He will be remembered as a family oriented person who enjoyed sports and outdoor activities.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Downs is survived by a daughter, Jackie Vuncannon (Brad) of Tiplersville; a son Rodney Downs of Corinth; a sister, Donna Rickman of Corinth; a brother, Scotty Downs (Teresa) of Booneville; two granddaughters, Lindsey Downs and Madilynn Vuncannon; and one great-granddaughter, Mylie Downs.
