Phyllis was born to Dane Simpson Hicks and Wanda Maxine (Hutchison) Hicks. June married W. Duane Thomas on Oct. 12, 1958, in Peoria, Ill.

She retired as office manager from Kankakee Insulation.

June attended Countryside Community Church and enjoyed time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Barry (Denise) Thomas and Steven (Cherl) Thomas; one brother, Keith (Jill) Hicks; five grandchildren, Samantha Thomas, Leana (Mike Trnka) Thomas, Beau Thomas, Morgan Thomas and Jordan Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
