DEXTER - A funeral for Charles Alfred Lee, 71, of Dexter was held Dec. 23, 1991 at the United Methodist Church in Dexter. Mr. Lee died of cancer on Dec. 20, 1991 at his home. Burial was at the Dexter Cemetery here.

The son of Alfred and Clara Lee, he was born at Dexter on July 29, 1920. He married Betty Marie Ohrt on June 12, 1947. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, he served in the South Pacific during World War II. He had farmed and also had been engaged in structural steel work until his retirement from Ra Mark Industries in Dexter in 1982. He was a member of the Dexter United Methodist Church, the Dexter American Legion, 40 & 8 and the Second Marine Division.

He was preceded in death by his parents, by a sister, Pearl Albery, and by a brother, Thomas, Lee.

Survivors include his wife, Betty, and a sister, Vera Blomquist, both of Dexter.
