Dee Patton, prominent Dillon citizen and manager of the Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph company, passed away last evening at Fort Harrison following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Patton is survived by his wife and two sons, John and Dee. Mrs. Patton has been at Fort Harrison for several days and was at her husband's bedside at his death.
Mr. Patton has been ill for nearly a year. He was first a patient in the Barrett hospital and then was transferred to the Veteran's hospital at Fort Harrison. He moved to Dillon some years ago, being transferred to the local telephone office from Harlowton. He was a member of Rotary International, the Masonic lodges and the American Legion.
The remains are being brought to Dillon today. Final arrangements for the funeral are pending.
