A memorial celebration of Erika's life will be 6 p.m. Monday at the Calvary Church in Muscatine. Private family graveside services are 11 a.m. Monday at the Aledo cemetery. There is no visitation. Memorials may be left to the Children's Cardiomyopathy Foundation or Pulmonary Hypertension Association. She was born Oct. 31, 2001, in Nashville, Tenn. Erika was an energetic and happy little girl who enjoyed swinging, dancing, playing babies, singing and spending time with her family. She especially adored her big sister, Emma, and her baby brother, Evan. She loved to play outdoors and could often be found wearing a pair of flip-flops and talking on a play cell phone. Her fun-loving spirit and contagious smile will be remembered in the hearts of many whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her parents, Rich and Traci, sister, Emma, and brother Evan, all of Muscatine; paternal grandparents, Rich and Maryann Maynard, Aledo; maternal grandparents, Mike and Sally Frye, Aledo; paternal great-grandparents, Richard E. and Jennie Maynard, Aledo; maternal great-grandparents, Deane and Lois Frye, Aledo, and Kathryn Smith, Monmouth; maternal great-great-grandmothers, Bertha Frye and Luella Basala, both of Aledo; two aunts, Robin and Rae Ann Maynard, Chicago; an uncle, Todd (Tiffany) Frye, Chicago; and several cousins.
