Katie Creech was born June 1, 1951 in Jackson County and departed this life Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Hazard Regional Hospital, being 64 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Lynnville Sparks and Minnie (Miller) Sparks.
Katie is survived by three children, Randy Adkins of Gray Hawk, Tonya Evans & Rhonda Lynn Brewer both of Annville. She is also survived by the following siblings, Lynn Thomas Sparks of McKee, Glenn Sparks of Richmond, Elzona Vickers and Elaine Neeley both of IN, Tammy McQueen of Sand Gap, Chloe Sparks of Richmond and Melissa Adkins of Berea and by two half brothers, Ricky Cummins and Danny Hensley. Katie was blessed with seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Katie was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Creech; by a son Ronald Edward Adkins and by the following siblings, Lynnville Sparks, Lonzo Sparks, James Sparks and Louise Roach.
Katie was a member of the McKee Reformed Church.
Funeral service was held 2:00PM Monday, January 11, 2016 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Thomas officiating. Burial followed in the Pilgrams Rest Cemetery. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
