Gordon was a United States Army Veteran, who served during the Korean War. He was employed as a tool maker by the American Meter Co. for 40 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. James RC Church. He was also a member of the Siebenbuerger Club. Gordy enjoyed golfing, bowling and swimming.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Mary Ann C. Rydelski Lapinsky; three sisters, Lorna Anderson, Bonnie Robertson and Patricia Dean; two brothers, Eugene Lapinsky and Leonard Lapinsky; two brothers-in-law, Bill Robertson and Albert Dean; and one sister-in-law, Clara Lapinsky.
Gordon is survived by his three children, Gordon W. Lapinsky, Jr. of Harborcreek, Mary Jo Ferko (Scott) of California, and Kenneth J. Lapinsky of Harborcreek; two grandchildren; two sisters, Dolores Rodland of Harborcreek and Jacqueline Roward (Chuck) of Erie; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
