JONESBORO -- Graveside services for Ray Franklin Laney, 58, of Savannah, Ga., were to be held at 4 p. m. today in Jonesboro Cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro with the Rev. Dan Tohline officiating
Mr. Laney died Wednesday at a hospital in Savannah, Ga, after a lengthy iliness.
He was district manager of the Savannah District for The J. C. Penny Co. and veteran of World War II
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Omelia Grigsby Laney of Savannah, Ga; one daughter, Mrs Sharon Elkins of Atlanta, Ga, one brother, Dr. Neal Laney of Forest City, Ark; two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Stewart of Boonville, Ark. and Mrs. Anne Woodruff of Forest City, Ark.; and one grandson.
