Susanna Hardinger born 4 December 1777 was the daughter of Philipp Hartung and Catharina Tuchmann who were married 13 December 1763 in Lancaster County, PA. Susannah married John Deffibaugh about 1798. After John Deffibaugh died in 1814, she married Henry Bruner. She died 22 February 1858, and was buried beside her first husband on the Defibaugh farm in Cumberland Valley Township, Bedford County, PA. The inscription on her tombstone: "To our mother, Susanna, consort of John Deffibaugh, afterwards intermarried with Henry Bruner, Died Feb 22, 1858, aged 80 ys. 2 ms. & 18 ds."
