Paul Carlos "Bus" Hamilton, 95, was called home by the Lord on Wednesday, September 6, 2006. He was born in Meadville, PA, on March 18, 1911. Paul was a long time resident of New Mexico, having resided in Bosque and Bosque Farms where he owned and operated Hamilton Dairy. Paul was a faithful Christian man who loved the Lord, worshipped regularly, and shared his faith in his life in so many ways. Jesus sustained him during his time of loss, illness and in faith, he trusted Him everyday. Paul was a member of the Peralta Methodist Church, First Church of the Nazarene, later the Chihuahua Bible Chapel, and was an active member of Gideons International. He was a lifelong farmer and dairyman, starting in Pennsylvania and moving to Bosque Farms in 1959, and later to Socorro County. He loved the land, Holstein cows, the outdoors and all animals. Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, L. Marian (Handley) Hamilton; and his son, Raymond Dale Hamilton. He is survived by his son, Michael P. Hamilton and his wife, Dawn; and his daughter, Grace Ann Johnson, all of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Stacy Moore and her husband, Stephen; Nancy Hamilton; and Bryan Johnson and his wife, Kimmy. The family would like to thank the staff of Manzano Del Sol for their love, kindness, and care for Paul since his stroke in 2000. A visitation will be held at Chihuahua Bible Chapel in Veguita, on Saturday, September 9, 2006, at 1:00 P.M. A Funeral Service will start at 2:00 p.m., with Dr. Art Walton, (Paul's nephew) and Pastor Len Ridley officiating. Interment will follow at the Chihuahua Bible Chapel cemetery, where Paul will be laid to rest to await the day when Jesus returns for His church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gideons by contacting Robert Alvis at (505) 298-3906. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St., Belen.
