Alexander was a dentist and married to Henrietta Wollison, who took the last name of Price when her mother remarried. They had six children. When she died of blood poisoning, he married Otia Prunty. They had five children.
He was born and raised in Bern, Switzerland. He was naturalized in Los Angeles in 1896. He came to SFO when he was very young and studied dental work. He eventually moved to Los Angeles and then on to San Diego, where he opened his practice. Some of his sons were dentist also. Otia Prunty was born in Ritchie, WV and came to San Diego with her parents. She had a hat store in San Diego when Alex met and married her. For more info, see their story on ancestry.com
