Donald L. Corbitt, 61, of Winter Haven, died May 26, 2007 at his home due to respiratory failure.

Born May 20, 1946 at the Winter Haven Hospital. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was employed at the Polk County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy Sheriff. He retired March 2005 as a Lieutenant after serving 30 yrs.

He is preceded by his parents, Herman and Ruby Corbitt, and a sister Betty Pearson. Survivors include his wife, Carol Corbitt; daughter, Hollie Corbitt; and 3 brothers, Curtis Corbitt, Herman (Jr.) Corbitt, and Lester Black.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 30, 2007, 6-8pm at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Auburndale. Funeral service will be Thursday, May 31, 2007, 11am at First Baptist Church of Eagle Lake.
