Dwight Lane Alexander, age 83, resident of Kings Mountain, NC entered his heavenly home on December 31, 2015. He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Leonard Alexander and Lula Bridges Alexander. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Alexander. Mr. Alexander was an active member of First Baptist Church, Kings Mountain and employed with FMC Lithium for 34 years. He enjoyed his time as an amateur “Ham” Radio Operator and a Department of the Army Mars Radio Operator. He was an avid sports fan of the Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Braves and in his earlier years, enjoyed playing ball on every field in Kings Mountain. A loving husband, father, grandfather who put his family first.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 55 years: Betty Moore Alexander, Kings Mtn. NC Son: David Alexander and wife Margot, Shelby, NC Daughter: Martha Alexander Bell and husband Brian, Kings Mtn. NC Brother: James “Jim” Alexander and wife Margie, Kings Mtn. NC 3 Grandchildren: Brad Bell and wife Abby; Dylan Bell; Trevor Alexander. Honorary Granddaughter: Mary Hullender. Lifelong Friend: Charles Wright

FUNERAL SERVICE: First Baptist Church, Sunday, January 3, 2016 3:00 P.M. Dr. John Sloan, officiating.

VISITATION: 1:00 – 2:30 P.M. Sunday, January 3, 2016 prior to the service in the Stained Glass Room at First Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, North Carolina.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
