Arther Ege was the 5th child of William Marshall Ege and Loie Ann Davis Ege. He was born Oct.12, 1898 at Mason City, Iowa. After high school and some college, he worked many different jobs, before his job at the Orleans Huron Building in down town Chicago as a Maintainance Engineer. He worked there 30 years. Carolyn Stark was the alterations lady at a shop in the same building. They dated and married June 18, 1928. Arthur was 30 years old when he married. They still celebrated 55 years of marriage before Carolyn passed away. He died Dec. 30, 1999. He was 101 and died 25 hours before he would have lived in 3 centuries. They had no children.
