Born Monday, August 11, 1941 in Taft, Tennessee, he was the son of the late William Massey and Zana Berryhill Massey. He was an avid Alabama Football fan and a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Fayetteville, TN. He was a dedicated father and grandfather and loved people. He was also preceded in death by his wife: Frances Faye Hendrix Massey. Surviving are son, Joel (Teresa) Massey of Taft, TN, his mother: Zana Massey of Taft, TN, a brother, Dennis (Marsha) Massey of Park City, TN and two grandchildren: Brian Massey and Nathan (Amber) Massey. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home located, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Bobby Bates officiating. Burial will be in Blanche Cemetery, Blanche, TN. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 20, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
