Daniel Felton “Dano” Odom, age 60, of Lizella, formerly of Sandersville, died Tuesday, December 29, 2015.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Washington County Memorial Gardens. Reverends Paul Harris and Jason McClendon will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Mike Thompson, Curt Thompson, Keith Thompson, Brian McClendon, Roger Forrester, and Clay McClendon.
Mr. Odom was born in Macon the son of the late Dee Odom and the late Lucy Smith Odom Bedwell. He was retired from the Georgia State Prison System as a correctional officer. His grandchildren and little league baseball were some of his best joys in life. Dano will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Survivor are: his son, Josh Odom and his wife Tish and grandchildren Zoey and Allyson all of Lizella; sisters, Faye Odom Lewis and Kaye Odom McClendon both of Sandersville, Sandra Odom Thompson and her husband Van of Tennille, and Judy Odom Harris and her husband Paul of Bartow; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville and also following the funeral service at the home of Sandra and Van Thompson on Old Savannah Road, Tennille.
May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
