May 28, 1925-Dec. 29, 2015 James Marylon Guy Lightsey, a native of Tallapoosa County, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the age of 90.

He was a member of Woodridge Baptist Church; a US Army Veteran; served in World War II in the Battle of the Bulge and was a retired Alabama Army National Guard Staff Sergeant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Lightsey and Katie Era Price Lightsey.

His survivors include his wife of 69 years, Margaret Idella Kirk Lightsey; two sons, James Guy (Sharon) Lightsey and Howard Keith Lightsey; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Lightsey Massengale and Margaret Sharon Lightsey Woods; his sister, Sara Nell Litsey (Henry) Bookout; ten grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services, officiated by Dr. Mack Morris, will be held Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.mmgfuneralhome.com.
