DONETTA BOOTH KLEPPER RUTH, age 93, a resident of Irving, died Saturday, December 26, 2015 at an Irving care center. Born June 18, 1922 in Fish Haven, Idaho, she was the daughter of Rowland T. Booth and Delbertina Bowcutt Booth. Formerly a resident of Corona, California, she also lived on a ranch in Harper, Texas near Kerrville for 40 years. Donetta was the first female Postmaster in New Mexico and the first female President of the New Mexico Postmaster Association. She was a former owner/operator of a hotel, a former goat rancher, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Cortez (Corky) L. Klepper and Aubert Charles Ruth, and sister, Joann Nevada Hatch (Booth), and a brother Doyle LaRaine Booth. She is survived by her nieces: Terri Dawn Fortner and husband Jack of Farmington, New Mexico, Sherri Joann Hatch of San Antonio, and Serena Tabitha Hatch of Rockport; nephews: Timothy Booth Hatch and wife Rebecca of Clayton, New Mexico, Orval Bruce Booth and wife Nancy Marie of El Paso, Alan Doyle Booth and wife Susan of Cloudcroft, New Mexico; grandnieces and grandnephews, Suzanne Fortner, Shelby Marie Hatch, Krissy Fortner, Chelsie Hatch, Chance Hatch and Reagan Hatch; and by her brother-in-law, Harold Don Hatch of Irving. Interment service is 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in Pavilion A at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway in Dallas with Bishop Jackie Perez officiating.
