Leesport, Oct. 13 - Lester T. Bagenstose, 56, of 125 Centre Ave., this borough, died in St. Joseph's Hospital, Reading.

Born in Centre Township, a son of the late Elmer J. and Annie (Saul) Bagenstose, he was a shipper for the Crown Knitting Mills, Mohrsville.

He was a member of Salem (Belleman's) Lutheran Church, near Centerport; the Leesport Gun Club; Temple Fire Co.; Pike Township Sportsmen's Assn. and its relief unit and the Leesport and Blandon fire companies.

He is survived by his widow, Miriam (Lesher) Bagenstose; two sons, David and Robert, both at home; four daughters, Joan, at home; Barbara, wife of Ronald Beisel, Dauberville; Gloria, wife of Robert Shuman, Blandon, and Shirley Folk, Leesport.

Five grandchildren; a brother, Earl, Mohrsville, and four sisters, Irene, wife of John Balthaser, Bernville; Bessie, wife of Orlando Kauffman, Mohrsville; Louella, wife of Ralph Shellhammer, this borough, and Laura, wife of Ammon Stoudt, Mohrsville R.D. 1.

Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Naftzinger Funeral Home, the Rev. Paul Fisher officiating. Burial will be made in the Leesport Cemetery.
