Archie Coffey
Archie Ray Coffey, 78, of Hibriten Drive, Lenoir, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 25, 1925, in Caldwell County to the late William Kelly Coffey and Bessie Philyaw Coffey. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Leason, Haskel, Edmond and Dusky Coffey; and two sisters, Zonie Houston and Dallas Coffey.
He was the owner and operator of Ray's Store. He was also a faithful and life-long member of the United Whitnel Methodist Church where he was a member of the Men's Sunday School Class.
Survivors include two nieces, Betsy Craven and Linda Godfrey, both of Lenoir; and several great nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Pendry's Chapel with the Rev. James McKinney officiating. Burial will be in Belleview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Pendry's Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be members of the Whitnel United Methodist Sunday School Class.
