Howard “Andy” Martindale, 51, passed away on Thursday, December 24th, 2015 in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Whiteland, Indiana.

He was born on February 7, 1964 in Franklin to V.V. and Virginia June (Crites) Martindale. He married Kathy (Adams) Martindale on June 11, 1983. She survives in Whiteland.

Also surviving are their children, Emily Martindale, Kate Martindale, Luke Martindale and Kyle Prescott, all of Whiteland; brother, Vernon (Johanna) Martindale of Bargersville and Rita Mourey of Batesville; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in passing by his parents.
Andy was a 1983 graduate of Franklin Community High School. He attended Ivy Tech Community College.

He was employed as a Plant Relief Operator for Citizens Energy Group in Indianapolis for over thirty years.

He was a member of the IBEW, Local #784. He was a member of the Johnson County Antique Machinery Association; the United Kennel Club and a past member of the Johnson County Fair Board. Andy was also a past vice-president of the Indiana Boer Goat Classic. He was a 4-H leader and enjoyed watching his children show livestock. He was a 4-H Tractor Club Leader and participated in tractor pulls. He also enjoyed hunting.

A celebration of Andy’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 30th at 11:00 a.m. at Community Congregational Church, 4592 North Hurricane Road, in Franklin. Friends may call on Tuesday, December 29th from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Burial will be at Hurricane Cemetery in Franklin.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson County 4-H Tractor Club.
