"After an illness of three weeks duration with heart trouble, Mrs. Huldah Anne Johnson Eldred passed away December 8, 1932 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stephen Davis of this place. She was born in Ingleside August 25, 1849, a daughter of Rachel Stanton and Peter Johnson.

On August 24, 1867 she was united in marriage with Amos Eldred of Rushville. Her entire life was spent in Ingleside and Wallace outside of five years she lived in Rochester
and one year in Bath. During her life in Ingleslde she was a member of the Methodist church.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. William Mallaber of Hemlock, Mrs. Minerva Nichols and Mrs. Earl Stout of Bath and Mrs. Steven Davis of this place. Also thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

The funeral was held from her late home Saturday at 2 P.M. Rev. Bertha Richards officiating. She was laid to rest besife her husband and three children in the Ingleside cemetery." (Cohocton Valley Times, December 1932)
