Mrs. Barbara Ann (Wilson) Cannon passed away on December 24, 2015 in Madisonville, Texas at the age of eight-six years. There will be a private committal service at the Cannon Ranch in the Laceola Community.

Barbara Ann (Wilson) Cannon was born on August 1, 1929 in Madison County to Edward & Buna (Bullard) Wilson. She attended grammar school in Anderson and Iola, and she graduated from high school in Madisonville. Following her father’s death, Mrs. Cannon lived the rest of her life in Madisonville. She was a long-time rancher in Madison County and serviced as Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2 in Madison County for sixteen years.

Mrs. Cannon was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Harvey Cannon; brother, Edward Wilson, Jr. and sisters, Emma Nell Rucker & Linda Elrod. She is survived by her son, Harvey R. Cannon of the Mecca Community; daughters, Lana Cannon & Laura Ann Cannon, both of Madisonville; grandchildren, Lindy & Jamie Wells and Laney Sikorski and great grandchildren, Riley Farris, Josey Sikorski and Tucker & Bentley Wells.
Serving as pallbearers were Randall Lee Morgan, Raymond Singletary, Paul David Richie, Frank Kelly, C. Jack Hunter and Alex Cannon.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Mrs. Cannon requests that memorial donations be made to the Madison County Library, House of Hope or the First United Methodist Church of Madisonville.
