Robert 'Bud' McCown

Robert McCown 80, passed away December 23, 2015 in Houston, Texas. He was born September 4, 1935 in Whitney, Texas.

Robert graduated from Waco High School and attended Baylor University. He then served in the United States Army and was primarily stationed in Germany. After returning to Texas he began a career in commercial banking. He retired in 2007 after eighteen years. Robert led an active life enjoying running, playing tennis and water skiing on Lake Whitney.

Preceded in death by his father, Tal McCown, mother, Vera; sister, Virginia Jane Boswell; brother, Walter and nephew, Duke Boswell. Survived by his wife, Nami; his son, Alex; his nephew, niece and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Bethlehem Cemetery near Whitney. He will be laid to rest beside his beloved brother and sister. The family will hold a memorial service in Houston at a later date.
