He was born July 13, 1945 in Springville, Alabama.
He retired as a Command Sergeant Major serving in the United States Army for 28 years, during which time he received many awards and commendations including a Purple Heart. During his retirement, he worked at People’s First Community Bank.
Ben loved his country, his comrades, his family and friends. He was a man you would want on your side.
He is preceded in death by his son, Timmy Jacob, and his brother, Dwight Allison.
He is survived by his wife, Juell Allison, sons, Scott Allison (Cheryl), Brett Allison (Trish) and Ricky Jacob (Wendy).
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Shane Allison, Lacey Jacob and Shelby Jacob, sister, Janice Ferrell, nephew and niece, Gary and Jan Allison.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Chaplain Craig Brannon officiating.
Interment will follow at Brown-McQuagge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
