Steven Donald Brown, 74, of Montrose Ave, Burnsville, passed away at 12:20 pm on Thursday, Dec 17, 2015 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown following a sudden illness.
He was born in Weston on January 27, 1941 the eldest son of the late Hugh Vincent Brown and Ercelyn S Parmer Brown.
On May 7, 1985 he married the former Norma Jean Bowman who loved him beyond words and will miss him beyond measure after 32 years of marriage.
He is survived by two brothers: Joe Brown and wife, Karen, and Ronald Brown and wife, Tammy, all of Burnsville; sister-in-law, Donna Brown of Ireland; three nephews: Larry Duane Brown, Travis Brown and Randall Brown; two nieces: Holly Lea Samples and husband, Michael, and Heather Nicole Thayer and husband, JT; three great nephews, Kaleb Brown, Gavin Brown, and Nathial Thayer; two great nieces: Brooklee Thayer and Tristen Nicole Brown; and his beloved dogs, Pierre and ChiChi, who miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Rodney Brown.
Steve graduated from Burnsville High School in 1959 then worked for Republic Steel in Cleveland OH for many years before returning to WV to work with his dad on the farm in Burnsville.
Interment will follow his cremation in the Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens.
