She was born on July 23, 1925 to Hazel and James Allen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Mary Huffman and Clifford Allen.
Sarah was a lifelong resident of Danville and a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Danville.
She leaves her husband of 72 years, Melvin Hamick. They were married on Sept. 12, 1943, and had a long and loving relationship. They raised two children, Nancy Dubre and David Hamick; They had three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Sarah will be remembered by family and friends for her sweet gentle spirit and her easy smile. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She later worked at Lakeview Memorial Hospital as a ward clerk.
