Mary Tennessee Bennett was a daughter of one of my great, great, great, grandfathers. Namely Capt. Harrison Bennett, a Civil War (Confederate) Army Captain. Harrison Bennett was the son of William T. Bennett and Jane Vanatta.

Her mother was Sarah Hines Bennett, daughter of Benjamin Bennett and Susannah Lucinda Taylor.

Mary Tennessee Bennett was the 5th child, and 2nd daughter, of her parents. She was born on the last day of February in 1843. She and her future husband, John Marion Pearson, were born four days apart (she was born four days before he was) and they died 15 days apart from one another.

Mary and John were married on October 18, 1866, in Randolph County, Arkansas. Together they produced ten known children. John Marion Pearson was the son of Benjamin Pearson.
