Viola Kappelman Bundrick, a longtime resident of Floresville, Texas, entered into rest Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at the age of 93.
Viola was born on Aug. 25, 1911, to William and Mary Kalka Eichman in Leming. She attended Leming schools and was a homemaker. Viola volunteered in the Floresville Nursing Center for 15 years and was a member of RSVP. On a daily basis, she assisted in playing dominoes, bingo, bunco, and feeding and visiting with the residents.
Viola married Robert Charles Kappelman on Jan. 2, 1937.
From this union were born three children, all of whom survive her: Donald Kappelman (Pauline), Gloria Wernli (Walter), and Janie Lanford (Doug).
After her first husband's death, Viola married Daniel K. Bundrick on Nov. 15, 1968.
She was preceded in death by her first husband in 1953; by her second husband in 1988; two brothers; and three sisters.
Viola is also survived by her sisters, Myrtle Zinanni and Marjorie Talley; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation began at 5 p.m. Friday, April 8, and a rosary was recited at 7 p.m. in the Vinyard Funeral Home in Floresville.
Funeral services began at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Father Stefan Wiera of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Loire.
Interment followed in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Floresville.
Serving as pallbearers were Keith Kappelman, Chris Kappelman, Jason Fleming, Greg Lanford, Gary Lanford, and Tere Hardin.
Memorials may be made to the Floresville Nursing Center, 1811 Sixth St., Floresville, TX 78114; or the Connally Memorial Medical Center Equipment Fund, 499 10th St., Floresville, TX 78114; or a charity of choice.
