Jack Percifield, 76, of Ontario Oregon died Friday, March 12, 1993 at Holy Rosary Medical Center in Ontario, Oregon.
Funeral services were held March 16 at Ontario's Lienkaemper Chapel with Rev. Scott Summers of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ontario, officiating. Burial followed at Salubria Cemetery in Cambridge, Idaho.
Jack was born on May 19, 1916 in White Bird, Idaho, the son of William and Mabel Twilegar Percifield. He spent his childhood in Lucile, Idaho and attended schools in White Bird and Grangeville.
He married Margaret L. Wilson December 9, 1941, in Lewiston, Idaho. She passed away in 1959. He married (Living) September 14, 1960 at Weiser, Idaho.
He worked at the Circle C Ranch in New Meadows, Idaho for several years. He became a member of the Turtle Ass'n which later became the Pro Rodeo Ass'n. Jack was instrumental in organizing and building the first rodeo grounds in Riggins, Idaho.
He retired from the Oregon Dept. of Livestock as a Brand Inspector in 1979. Since his retirement, he spent time working with his horses and as a taxidermist. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by wife, Margaret, and infant daughter, Linda and one brother.
