Sullivan Native Dies At Lyons
Charley Deckard, 87, a retired farmer and native of Sullivan County, died Wednesday at his home in Lyons. He was the brother of Mrs. Jim Sevier of Sullivan.
Mr. Deckard was the son of the late Adam and Mary Parks Deckard of Sullivan County.
He was a member of the Raglesville U.B. Church.
Surviving are the widow, Gladys; one daughter, two sons, one step-daughter, one step-son, one brother, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. His first wife, Maude, died in July 1932.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons with burial in Marco Cemetery.
