EDWARD BERGELIN
(1867 - 1895)

A young man named Edward Bergelin of Gibson came near losing his life the other day. He saw several foxes near his home and ran for his gun. He succeeded in shooting one. The remainder of them were yet quite young and ran towards the woods and crawled under a brush pile. Edward, by this time was excited and tried to stick his gun under the brush to scare out the foxes. The gun exploded and struck him under the arm, making a severe wound.

Later - He died Saturday last.
