Frank Branco
ATWATER - A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Friday at 10 am in St. Anthony's Catholic Church for Frank F. Branco, 68, a longtime Atwater resident who died Tuesday in the local hospital.
Mr. Branco, born in Merced, had lived at 1101 Cedar Avenue and had been heavy equipment operator for Merced County 14 years before retiring. Recitation of the Rosary will be Thursday evening at 8PM in the Atwater Chapel of Ivers and Alcorn.
He belonged to IDES Atwater Council No. 32 and St. Anthony's Lodge. He attended school in Buhach and was married to Angie Leal in 1923. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last November. He farmed many years in the Buhach District.
Mr. Branco is survived by his wife, Angie; a daughter Delores Dunn of Parkdale, Ore.; a son Robert V. Branco of Salinas; two brothers John and Tony , both of Merced; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Burial will be in Winton Cemetery.
