Cecile V. Durand, 76, formerly of St Germaine Manor, East School Street, a comb winder for the former French Worsted Co. for 33 years before retiring in 1969, died Saturday at Fogarty Memorial Hospital. She was widow of Lucien Durand.
Born in Plainfield, Conn., a daughter of the late David and Albina (Boucher) Blanchard, she moved to Woonsocket at age two.
She leaves a son, Lucien Durand; a daughter, Lorraine Parentau, both of Cumberland; two sisters, Lucienne Hemond, Henriette Gagne, both of Woonsocket, and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8 a.m. from the Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Ann's Church, Cumberland Street. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham.
