Mildred Welle, Spring Hill, died on March 31, 1986 at the age of 66. The funeral mass took place at St. Michael's Church in Spring Hill, MN, followed by burial in the parish cemetery.
Mildred Helen Eibensteiner was born March 17, 1920 in Meire Grove, Stearns County, MN to Joseph and Anna (Kampsen) Eibensteiner. On October 15, 1940, Mildred Eibensteiner married Tony Welle at St. John's Catholic Church in Meire Grove, MN. The couple took over the operation and ownership of the farm belonging to Tony's parents, Anton and Apollonia Welle, after they retired from farming and moved to Melrose, MN.
Tony and Mildred farmed in Spring Hill until 1970 when the 3rd generation of Welle's took over the homeplace. Anthony "Junior" Welle, and his wife Dorothy, took ownership and responsibility for the Welle family farm.
In 1970 Mildred and Tony moved to New Munich and operated Tony's Bar until retiring in 1979. The couple returned to Spring Hill and moved into a house in town.
Mildred's 5 children and their spouses are:
Donna Nathe and husband Maynard - Cold Spring, Gene Welle and wife Jane - Cold Spring, Junior Welle and wife Dorothy - Spring Hill, Sandi Feldewerd and husband Paul - New Munich, Lou Spanier and husband Jerry and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
