Justin W. Shepard died in a Bountiful Care Center on March 23, 2000. He was born in Deweyville, Utah April 11, 1918 to Justin W. Shepard and Crystal Louise Burbank. Dad did not want to leave this existence even though he was very ill and had struggled with many difficulties for a long time. He was concerned about leaving his family behind.

Justin was married to Jacoba (Coby) Gertrude Stam on November 17, 1940 in Farmington, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple November 15, 1949. Justin proudly served in the US Army during World War II and was stationed at Ft. MacArthur in San Pedro, California. He worked for Western Paper Company for 38 years until his retirement at age 65. He was a hard worker and did whatever it took to get the job done. He was also a loving husband, father and son and cared deeply about his family. He had a great love for the Lord and his last words were the Lord's prayer. He served loyally in the church whenever called. He especially enjoyed being a Home Teacher.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1973. He married Juanita Egbert Miller and they remained married until his death. He was also preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law and brother-in-law. He is survived by his wife, Juanita (North Salt Lake), son, Justin Von Shepard (Holladay), daughter, Susan (Jeff) Lund (West Jordan); step-daughter, Beverly Robinson (Bountiful), granddaughter, Emily Crystal Lund and 7 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren.
