Donald Brink, 89, of Anamosa, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be 11 Friday morning, July 10, at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, where friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m. today. the Rev. Sam Brink and the Rev. Don Wells will be officiating at the services. Thoughts, memories and condolences may be left at www.goettschonline.com Surviving are his wife, Florence; three children,Donald (Sandra) Brink, Topeka, Kan., Connie (Don) Wells, Piqua, Ohio, and Sam (Marie) Brink, Waukesha, Wis,; eight grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by is parents and his brother, Marvin. Don started Anamosa Roofing and Siding and operated that business until 1961. He then operated Dons Leather shop, a leather crafting business, until he retired. He also played guitar, banjo and mandolin in the HasBeens Trio.
